Removed from my wishlist. I was really excited to jump into this but will not support the online only nonsense of Denuvo. I live in a very rural area which loses internet and power with a slight breeze. Plus I refuse to support a developer that stands behind the ignorant, childish mocking of their customer base.

It's not online only. You can play Denuvo protected games offline. Where do you get your information?

Denuvo relies on an authentication ticket. Without being online during an unspecified periodic check-in, there is no ticket to verify meaning the game is unplayable even for legitimate users.

Pirates bypass this entirely. Meaning pirates get the superior product.

Is that why you posted this thread on Crackwatch?

Pirates get Denuvo plus the buggy cracked code on top.

It's like a Crackwatch sausage party here.

Basically its a harmless software that stops piracy or rather aims to slow down piracy, however tinfoil hat people are convinced its using their $299 walmart pc to mine crypto currency or is collecting infomation on their my little pony fetish to sell to the russians :P

in short the type of people who cry about it are the type of people the game/community is better without.
Since you don't like people that complain about Denuvo i won't buy your game. Drnuvo is anti-consumer, uses more cpu and needs online activation from time to time. Denuvo has no positive affect on sales. RIP.

There is such a saying:
"If you spit in the crowd - it will wipe away, but if the crowd spits at you - you will drown"

Yeah, I posted it on CrackWatch because for some reason, it's important enough to warrant a disclaimer on the Steam page but you can't post about DRM on /r/pcgaming.

I don't pirate games but I still applaud every bypass because there's a good chance I'll be relying on those bypasses one day just like I rely on the GFWL removal crack that is pinned at the top of the Fallout 3 discussion board because Bethesda didn't bother to remove it in their game that sold millions.

Not exaggerating, they literally have a crack pinned on the Steam Discussion board over there

Blame the mods for equating preservation concerns to piracy. As I said earlier, if I can't trust these guys to take concerns seriously, why should I trust them to patch it out when the authentication servers inevitably go down?

Actually I avoid touching Denuvo because it's meant to be a harmless software to protect the creator's games so no one can pirate it, however, it's been known to hemerage gameplay and processing speed. If you have a super top-of-the-line PC you may not notice much of a difference, but to everyone else it'll lag really bad.

There are some stories/rumors of it burning out your hard-drive, however I've not had this experience myself, but I've seen the gameplay getting tanked because of Denuvo which whilst it's meant to be a anti-piracy software, it's been cracked multiple times. I'm surprised anyone is stupid enough to use it anymore.

Sadly the devs have lost a sale from me due to this idiocy.

Yep.

Have a problem with DRM all you want but once you start supporting piracy on encouraging pirates to bombard a thread you lose all credibility.

Plus you are wrong, the stickied post didn't call anti Denuvo guys pirates.

I'm not supporting piracy. I'm advocating for a DRM-free release and highlighting these developer's insane behavior the only place where people seem to understand the issue.

You've clearly not actually taken your time to take off your own tinfoil hat to realise how bad Denuvo was.

this was not a answer, just some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Doing so on Crackwatch was the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way of doing it.

"I hate the security systems in shops. Whilst reading a thread on Walmart's forums one of the staff members tagged a post that was negative towards people who are against shop security systems.

So what did I do. I went to the "Shoplifting is great" subreddit and told them."
