Is it """disrespectful""" to post selfies of myself under Steam artwork?

Here's the thing, I get a lot of people telling me "this isn't instagram, gtfo", and at the same time I get a lot of people telling me that my profile looks cool and interesting with selfies as the artwork.
I have looked it up and it's not against the ToS, some people do it too, and they have cool looking profiles, yet some people find it "disrespectful" against gamers and Steam as a service to do that?

They aren't made just for selfies, those websites. I use them for other things.

It's not "disrespectful", but it is "misplaced". In what sense ? Well :
- A lot of other platforms are better suited for that.
- Posting selfies on literally any platform with no real purpose and weird poses of all sorts can be seen as a dumb thing to do.

Coupled with the way you worded your questions, how you are responding to everyone, your "artwork" AND the description of your profile (or more like of your artworks from the way it seems to be worded), it doesn't really help your case when it comes down to who you are assumed to be.

I'm not trying to attack you or anything, but I'm trying to show you how it looks from an outer perspective.

People don't guess who's behind the screen, no one's a mind reader. They look at an outer layer of you (profile in this case) and then reactions may vary.

And when it comes down to my personal opinion, you do you, I do me, and even though I don't like the way it's all posted up for absolutely no reason, it's my job to respect you. However your stuff is definitely misplaced, not disrespectful, but 200% misplaced.

You tagged your ""artwork"" with CSGO. There's an option for it to just post your artwork with non-specific game. It annoys anyone that came across to your stuff on CSGO's artwork section because you're not the only one posting non-related stuff there. Unless you're doing it on purpose to attract horny boys.

I played CSGO and I always came across with your kind. It is always that catfisher who wants free stuff/skins or receive nice comments, etc. I doubt that's even you. Most female gamers are lowkey-ish type.

It’s fine as long as your not breaking the rules. For me... the picture in artwork is my a cosplay of my Steam avatar.
