I can't enjoy my consoles anymore

I grew up gaming on PC and on consoles. The last console game I bought prior to the last few months was The Last of Us. I didn't ever finish it and the problem was it was such a good game and I could see that, but kept being pulled away to my PC to play other games, some better and some worse.

On PC I can play for 1.5- 2 hrs at a time, take a break and then want to play more. On consoles my attention span only lasts 30mins-1hr. I don't know why really, I think it is a mix of things I guess. I don't play but 4-5 out of 70 or games with a controller on the PC, but I can't say it's even that if I'm comfortable doing so at times.

I'm frustrated now because I recently purchased Spider-Man and Red Dead Redemption 2 for PS4 and still have to drag myself to play them and they're great for an hour, while meanwhile I'm sinking hours into playing BFV and Just Cause 4 instead, which are worse games. Ever happen to you?

You do not have to feel obliged to like things. You'll eventually start enjoying it again, as long as you do not force yourself to do so.

The main thing PCs have that consoles don't. Just the ever growing options/power to customize and portability (ie. laptops) if you don't use a tower. Not counting handheld consoles

Even though we don't have every game in the world just yet. It's very nice to be able to play stuff from every console on one system without having to switch anything around or plug/un-plug things.

Whatever you're doing, do it differently. Either the console is in the same room and you need to put it in the living room and treat it as something different; or it's in the living room and you're just not comfortable playing in that space anymore, then you should consider a similiar setup to your PC.

I had it hooked up to my PC monitor and that did help. I moved it a few weeks ago because I got a new tv. The new tv though was broken and went back. I'll move it back, that's still not all though.

I'm guessing some other controllers are compatible with the ps4 too maybe and I heard the keyboard and mouse is for certain games. I'll look up and see if anything would work.

I really just wish RDR2 would have or just comes out on PC. So frustrating because I would play it so much more I'm sure. Just like GTA V, I sank a ton of hours into the PC version and not so much in the console.

Just feeling like I'm missing out on some good games. Guess you're right though, it has to be my definition of good.

It could be that you are not enjoying consoles because of the graphics, especially on the PS4 which is not even 1080p on some games.

You could sell them and upgrade to a 4K TV or monitor and Xbox One X to play games at native 4K.

*Getting that 60 frames PC users are bragging about will cost you at least about a thoushand dollars if you're playing a AAA game.

Why would someone spend so much money just so they can play a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ games? Frames is a really bad "proof" on why "PC is the masterrace".

No monthly fees for online , heavy discounts on games , precision of kb & M for shooters and convenience of using a wide variety of controllers. Custom resolutions. Frames and refresh rate support upto 240. And much more. Pc is undeniably masterace.

I target shoot and my scoped rifle is more advanced than my unsighted recurve bow. I am still doing the same as in having fun target shooting. Playing on PC or Console I am still doing the same thing having fun playing games. That is how I see all this console vs PC stuff.
