How to watch movies on laptop while lying on bed looking up
I can't figure any position for me to use a laptop on a bed for a prolonged time without inducing pain to my joints or blocking the fan hole

A position on a bed that is rather okay to me is lying down and looking up at the ceiling
How, can I position my laptop pointing downwards while I'm looking at the screen from below

Is there any possible setups for me to do this?

Ps, the ceiling is quite high and unreachable, so no... I can't tape it to the ceiling

You could get one of those foldable (breakfast) tables. Some tables have a laptop platform that you can put under an angle.

There's some pretty tall ladders. I had to climb such a ladder to reach the ceiling of a multipurpose room at a school to change out the lights. Was probably a 25+ foot ladder.

I didn't say anything about your laptop. I did say mount a tv to the ceiling. Just how high is this ceiling in your room anyway? Mine is probably only 10'. I can touch it if I stretch up a bit.
Lets just say that I live in a warehouse, yeah quite tall xd

If you have a TV in your room, get a HDMI cable and put the display from your laptop on the TV.
Unfortunately no, I don't have a spare TV on hand

Hold the laptop with your hands above you.
Or if you need free hands, press play throw the laptop in the air and hope movie will end before laptop will fall back. :P

Not. The. Best. Option.

Could possibly be a solution, but I don't have any foldable tables on hand

I have a good idea...
Take ur matress throw it on the ground then take a high table and tape the laptop on the underside.
I have a heavy and thicc queen sized matress, I'd not want to remove it from the bed frame

Mirror
Mirrors like that will give me headaches and nausea after some time using them because they distort the image in some way, little or big
just remove your laptop screen, hang it from the roof with duct tape and string then just splice the screen cables with other ones so it can reach the roof without having the whole laptop up there
These ceilings recommendations aren't funny anymore and their use is oversaturated in this thread

I guess no one actually read the main thread

just nail a beam that goes strait up from the back of your bed, then a second beam goes strait over your bed (horizontal) (nailed to the first with some 45degree supports) than attach the laptop to the end of that so it hangs over your head while not attached to a celing
( i will make a better easier to understand version of this in paint)

my own simple setup: transfer movies/tv shows to usb flash drive, play them on your bedroom tv as you lie in bed.

I guess most did - but when your answer is either 'can't do' or 'don't have' you can't expect a solution. If there is nothing between you and the ceiling and you can't use the ceiling or build something that is between you and the ceiling, then there is no solution. Nobody can teach you a technique to make your laptop levitate above your head.

You either build or buy a device that holds the laptop above your head (which probably involves some items you don't have at hand)- and considering a laptop is heavier, more expensive and more delicate than a screen that is hardly something I would recommend, or you will have to accept that there is no way to help you.

Love the drawing, quite clear.

Regarding OP, you might have to consider either going through the pain or watch somewhere else.

Though I don't see how putting a couple of pillows against the back of the bed so you can sit upright with the laptop on a small laptoptable (for the vents) on your lap can't be an option.

That is what I do except Io use my tablet or phone while laying down.
I just watch movies/tv/cartoons on my phone. When I want to turn over, I turn over with my phone. I know it's not very elegant or anything. When I'm ready to go to bed and I just want white noise, I leave it next to the bed, usually playing Archer, Futurama or Rick & Morty, all which I've seen a gazillion times over so I can "watch" them even with my eyes closed, and which also have the benefit of giving me some really weird dreams.

This is quite nice, maybe I could get some quality monitor hanger and apply the same idea

My body aches if I do that

I don't prefer phones due to its small size

Get a 10+ inch tablet and a Bluetooth speaker.
