Gonna get a lot of hate but, Why does everyone hate Fortnite

I see a lot of people hate the game just for the sake of hating it. I know it is not everyone's cup of tea but I see people who haven't touched the genre who say it is the "worst game of all time" or the "cringe is too strong". I like the game in my opinion but yours can differ and I respect that.

I don't hate it (like I do pubg) because, at a minimum, it's functional, has a distinct visual style and most importantly is free.

It's not bad, it's just really, really, really, really, really, really overrated.

The only reason it's popular is because it's free so kids and teens without income can play it. I should know, when I was 15 I played all kinds of different ♥♥♥♥ on my crappy computer, too. If people had to pay for Fortnite Battle Royale like they had to for the base Fortnite game, it would already be a dead game.

Played Fortnite for two games, couldn't understand what was going on and somehow won both of them. Decided to unistall immediately.

Played PUBG on mobile understand a few things but still decided to unistall immediately.

I pondered upon the situation and came up with following reasons i didn't like Battle Royale

1 I'm too much of a traditional mode player like TDM, hoarde, onslaught, capture the hill/flag, etc

2 I like to play games where either team work is the key to win or the quake style last man standing type games

3 i suck at building things

4 i like to play games where use only one type or very few types of weapons(kind of like god of war or devil may cry)

5 I don't like games where luck plays factor (this the reason I don't like loot based game much unless it's borderlands)

6 probably the biggest reason I didn't like the genere is because I like to play game which gives a sense of progression. Doing the same things over and over again makes me bored incredibly fast (only exception to this is Rocket League but then again exceptions are every where. Lookin at you mercury. Yes both the planet as well as the metal).

I'm not saying everybody feels like me but I guess there might be a few who do think like me

I couldn't give less of a damn about that game. I'd rather play something good instead of hating on something bad.

Never played it, but don't care to as the community is even worse than call of duty. I have friends with kids who play it, it's just full of a bunch of 6 to 10 year old children playing it (well their kids are in that range). Even if I did end up liking it, I'd feel bad by winning by defeating a bunch of children.
