Honda Civic Service Manuals...
I leave this here simply out of convenience. Surely there are other gamers that like to work on their cars. Well I'm just starting out, but I need a service manual for the 7th gen honda civic 4-door sedan, specicially year 2003. I managed to get this service manual, but for the hatchback.

No information that I was able to glean from other forums has lead me to believe that the structure of their innards are close enough for me to use the manual I currenlty have. Does anyone else know for sure if I could get by with it, or should I just shell out the cash for specific service manual that I need?

Are you looking for the owners manual or a repair manual? All the owners manuals can be found on Hondas site.

If you're looking for a repair manual, Haynes typically writes decent repair manuals for cars and you should be able to order one for your car from an auto parts store.

Honestly, I'd recommend getting a paper copy. If you're working on a car with it around, you're likely going to get it covered in grease/oil and it's better to mess up a $23 repair manual than an expensive tablet or your phone imho.

They make the best car repair manuals ever.

The only thing I find sort of weird is that there is such a large time gap covered in the manuals. Is there really that much similarity between these cars as time passes.

Absolutely. In most cases, the only changes are cosmetic variations or additional options, but the underlying drive train will remain largely unchanged save for a relocated oil filter or something. The Haynes manuals are also pretty good at noting the specific model year differences in that range, if there are any.
