Thoughts on MGTOW? (Men Going Their Own Way)
As described: "MGTOW - Men Going Their Own Way - is a statement of self-ownership, where the modern man preserves and protects his own sovereignty above all else. It is the manifestation of one word: "No". Ejecting silly preconceptions and cultural definitions of what a man is. Looking to no one else for social cues. Refusing to bow, serve and kneel for the opportunity to be treated like a disposable utility. And, living according to his own best interests in a world which would rather he didn't."

Some think it's the only hope for men in a deeply feminized society. What are your thoughts?

Meh. They are free to choose the life they want to live. Some views I can sympathize with, others I don't care much about. As far as I am aware, they aren't hurting anyone so let them be.

I do believe a lot of the flak they take are from the feminists and their male-allies who for whatever reason may see them as an enemy and I also think a lot of the flak they take is from other people who don't really understand why those men are going their own way. I suppose it is easier to dislike the different than to understand them.

not to stand out, but to be a leader and lead.

lead their own life...

and yes, i understand that not everyone is ment to lead.

some would rather follow... while others need to follow.

You have to remember that relationships are a drug though and having other people to support them helps them to not put relationships on a pedestal or to depend on them for happiness.

Think of it as a support group that celebrates being single and not being whipped.
Since when did blokes need a support group for being single?!

Seems like the male version of feminism, and in many ways a response to feminism I think. Most cite the imbalanced bias towards women particularly in the court system etc. They do make some valid points, but I can't help but think it often functions as a bug light for men who can't get laid to collectively cop a sour grapes attitude towards women.

There are groups and magazines for women, men can have groups as well.

It isn't a gynocentric society.

"Need"? Maybe not, but what's the problem with having one?

Men do have groups, it's called goin to the pub to watch the football, or going shooting, or going out with your mates
I'm just massively amused by this sudden need to label all this stuff and shout about it from the rooftops as if anyone outside the ppl who care about you should give a flying one....
Sure have your groups, your magazines and the like.
And synth mate, seriously, goin on about honour and how women ain't virgins? Really?
1800s make a comeback when I wasn't looking?

Amazingly enough blokes aren't a monolith marching in lock step. Different people have different needs.

As far as the group goes, eh, I don't care. I can't call myself that in the same way I can't call myself a feminist or mens right activist/advocate. All those groups contain way to many subgroups who often differ to an asburd degree in their articles of faith.

I go the way I go, it's the nuez way.

Many men that go to pubs are slaves of the plantation though and they still depend on relationships.

I'm not saying that women have to be perfect but there was a time when women didn't wear their promiscuity as a badge of honour.

....yeeees, the very things women rail on their men for, and keep whining about how "aloof and insensitive my man is" whenever the man does something like that.

I mean, if we're stereotyping...

Haha, yeah see that's the thing with stereotyping, not once have I been railed at for anything.... maybe, just maybe.... a lot of guys seem to good at trying to be with women that weren't really a match in the first place.

Stereotypes are the exact opposite of personal anecdotes.
