Is there a reason why Beatport is more expensive than Bandcamp?

Bandcamp is just one-upping Beatpoint to make the competition fair.

What do you mean by "make the competition fair"? How would it be unfair without the price difference?
Edit: Did you mean that Beatport is more popular than Bandcamp so lower prices make them a more compelling option and allows them to compete?

I think that's part of the pricing strategy, as I found sometimes is the other way around.

I was actually trying to google why Bandcamp is more expensive than Beatport.

I found a few other examples as well.

hmmm. In the examples you gave Beatport is still more expensive than Bandcamp. Maybe it depends on where you live? I live in the UK and have yet to come across a track which costs more on Bandcamp.
Unlike Beatport, Bandcamp allows you to listen to the whole track before purchasing and if you do buy a track it lets you download in whatever format you like. On Beatport you are only paying for MP3's which on it's own still costs more than Bandcamp. You have to pay extra for higher quality formats and even then you can only choose one of two formats (.WAV or AIFF), you cannot have both as far as I know. This is why it's so confusing to me that Beatport costs more, they are offering less for a higher price. The only real upside I see for Beatport is that they seem to have a lot more mainstream music compared to Bandcamp.
