PC has no Paywall to play Multiplayer/Online.
thousands of dollars ? lmao
you get digital games you cant chose ,sell or anything , just as humble bundle giveaways have no value , neither have playstation plus games , also from what i noticed , sony has a tactic with these games , i think they gave away an older god of war game shortly before the newest came out , make people see a franchise is fun , shortly before the new entry gets released
also , dont you lose the games if you stop paying ? so in the end its just a game rental store , you pay money to temporarily rent games
and another thing , if ps+ was so worth it and a great deal , dont you think sony would make it its own thing and make playing online free ? after all if its so worth it for the free games, they wouldnt have to bundle it with the ability to play online
I'd understand with dedicated servers, but not P2P.
@Sakura
Literally everyone uses that tactic though. New Final Fantasy coming out? Square Sale on FF games. New Paradox game rolling out? Paradox Sale. Furthermore PS+ is what contributes to the dedicated server maintenance, pretty much any MP Sony game still has a Server or two running regardless of how long ago it came out unless it is specifically stated it doesn't. Also you don't "lose" those games if you stop paying. You just can't download them again or access them. However if you have them installed on your "Home/Primary" Console you can still play them, you just can't renew the License for it. However once you pay for PS+ again you immediately regain access to all those "free" games and can renew the Licenses infinitely again.
Stop blanket hating consoles when you don't fully understand the way they work.
@L7vanmatre
I agree. I shouldn't have to pay a Fee that is intended to support and maintain Servers when I am connecting to a person using a Tin Can and Aluminum Foil as their ISP and thus get a lossy PvP/CoOp match.
@Topic.
I don't mind 30FPS provided it is a stable 30. If it were to drop to more than 5FPS I would just rage quit for most games; it's soo offputting and sluggish to me.
square enix makes sales even without a new FF coming out , the thing is , these are discounts , meanwhile , on playstation they give you an old game , shortly before the new one comes out so you buy the new one
and if i cant download or use them , it pretty much is losing them
Right, so one place gives you a discount on old games so if you want the old game you still pay X .... and you still buy the new one.
Or you get an old one for "Free" .... and still buy the new one.
Also, it's not like it happens for every single game. It's usually either the super popular ones or Sony titles... which M$ does the same thing for Xbox too. Though I did find it funny Sony gave out SOMA for free and GoG did the same thing provided you bought something on their store lol.
Personally I rarely care about the "Free" games since 8/10 times I don't like them anyway due to my tastes. Though getting Bloodborne with all DLC 2 years later was pretty nice albeit with a dead MP scene lol.
IMO, the more interesting option is the Sony Vue or whatever the Instant Play thing is. You pay ~$50 a year but get access to thousands of titles, even recent titles(1 yr old ones). However it is a "Streaming Service" which has me really dubious about quality so I refuse to even try it lol.
only 2 ?
But remember, only play PS4 for the exclusives (you should try Bloodborne if you got the guts)
What people do not mention is that online console services have better moderation and less hackers as well.
Play any old Call of Duty game on PC and the game will have many hackers.
