More a deckbuilder than an RPG but still a great game.
Turn based combat Sci-Fi RPG.
U want to torture this poor man?
Yes,it's possible as far as my memories remember
But it wont be a fun thing to do(epecially in some missions)

I'll have a look in my library to see if I have or know of any others.
While XCOM certainly isn't your classic RPG, it certainly has all of the elements of what one would closely associate with the genre. There's the slow, gradual improvement in equipment/skills/strategy and an overarching storyline underpaid with side missions. Due to XCOM being a strategy game with some core RPG elements, and it being squad based instead of a single character, the game is completely mouse based.
The Fallout Classic series is visually similar to XCOM (except about a decade or so older) but completely RPG based. I've personally played Fallout 1 for roughly 20 hours and enjoyed it greatly. You may need a walk-through or guide of some sort due to the age of the game. Fallout 2 is much more accessible from what I remember of the short time I played it.
I'm sure there's tons more of reviews that are plenty more precise and thorough than I was with my short little three previews of the availability of these games. I wish you the best in your gaming journey!
As for game suggestions you could try this:
Or any of the other Infinity Engine games that Beamdog enchanced.
