Why Battlefield: Hardline is hated?

I know the setting is not in the battlegrounds like the previous ones are. But as soon as it provides a great variety of vehicles, big maps amd destructable environement what's the problem?

P.S.: I haven't played the game but it looks cool.

You answered your own question: you haven't played it. I played 328 hours and hated nearly every second.

I've never played it but apparently the radio has Hacker as one of the songs that can play so at least there's that.

A lot of the hate comes from the fact that EA released a new BF game as opposed to releasing a patch for the then-buggy BF4. There's also the fact that Visceral didn't really do anything with the "Cops vs. Robbers" setting. Just a bunch of missed opportunities and disappointment.

Hardline was VERY fun actually, and had cool features like how you got weapons trough money gained in-game, but the post launch support was horrible and so that's the reason it died quickly.

I haven't got round to hating these newer Battlefield and CoD games so I feel so left out. I am still in the amusement phase that these games seem to produce in the player base (rightly or wrongly).

I have 700+ hours on it, so i'm Authoritive

I have met 3 hackers, and nvr seen them again

Some hard grind 4 some not all assignments

DLC was good, esp when you dont use Youtube to get the Big Game Hunter and Big Eddie's Wiseguy assignments

Very Action-Packed

Campaign is like a bad farcry ripoff.

multiplayer is just better done in all the other games.

It's not terrible but it doesn't hold a candle to the other games in the franchise.

love battlefield hardline. I feel like the game get's too much hate for not being "battlefield". Yes, I do know that the game has its flaws. But I really do feel like the cops and robbers theme added something new series, It was a breath of fresh air. then the same old ''super serious military shooter GRRRR!''.



Also, the other thing that I love about battlefield hardline: Is just the game tone. THE GAME DOESN'T TAKE ITSELF SERIOUSLY! And I love that about it~ I feel like (In my opinion) most games today have their heads shoved up their bum (with their tone). Some games forget that; YOU ARE PLAYING A VIDEO GAME! Yeah, I understand that some games need super serious tones to fit the game atmosphere. But sometimes I just want the game to let loose and have some fun!



I will go on. But I'm running out of things to say. I just really wish dice goes back on the idea of battlefield hardline. Maybe even make battlefield hardline 2! And making it better! Plus they don't have to worry about being on the "right side of history" and telling players ''don't like it, don't buy it''. Battlefield Hardline is so underrated.
