Paysafecard -- AVOID!
Just thought I'd leave a warning for everyone to avoid Paysafecard at all costs. I mean their trustpilot reviews which total 231 for an average of 1/5 stars says it all. Too bad I never did my research before buying funds with them. There are next to no places you can even use the funds at. Steam is probably the most popular and best place to use them; but unfortunately for me I'm a console gamer. I've heard that you can buy some CS GO cosmetics, like a knife, and try selling that. But the $250 I have to get rid of and refunded back to me somehow is a big risk. Can anyone give some helpful suggestions? Or better yet, if you've dealt with PAYSAFECARD in the past, can you tell me how to actually get a response from them?!

UPDATE
Well big surprise--this paysafecard company is not BBB accredited:
https://www.bbb.org/us/ny/new-york/profile/online-payment/paysafecardcom-usa-inc-0121-136835

Who would of thought it? Maybe the multitudes of people like me currently being screwed by this place: https://ca.trustpilot.com/review/www.paysafecard.com

Still trying to get my refund after a week of dealing with them. Just getting the "run around" basically. The first time I sent them everything they require for a refund (Photo ID, Voucher Pin#, Bank Info), they simply responded and told me that all those have to be in ONE picture--not separately. If this is so, why did they not clearly explain that on their website under refund instructions?! Ok, so I give in to their demand and make sure all of it is in one photo. Guess what?! Still not good enough. Now they require me to also have the Serial# of the voucher in the picture. Did they mention this on their website? No! Not anywhere. The voucher I got was like a foot long receipt with the Pin# up top and the Serial# at bottom--so of course the Serial# wouldn't be included in anyone's pic without them knowing it had to be included. So now I've sent the all info a THIRD time. This time with the receipt carefully folded up to include the serial#.

It's just like another reviewer said. Gotta jump through all sorts of hoops and hurdles to get anywhere with this company. I skimmed through all 232 reviews on trustpilot--Best case scenario was one person who finally got refunded after battling with them for over a month. The rest gave up on getting a refund or had their accounts locked so they couldn't use their funds. AVOID PAYSAFECARD!

Gotta wait even longer for my refund now, because my account containing over $200 is now locked after the one small purchase I made. Locked for security reasons?! So even if I wanted to waste the rest of my funds here on steam (bad idea b/c I'm a console gamer) I couldn't even do it. Doesn't surprise me though, I'm one of many having their accounts locked so Paysafecard can hope we give up and take our money. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!

UPDATE Dec 13, 2018
So yesterday (Dec 12), paysafecard finally reached out to me and unlocked my account after nearly 3 weeks of having my funds frozen. They did not refund me, which is what I was seeking; but I didn't care to battle with them anymore and just spent those remaining funds quickly as possible. I'm sort of in disbelief. From the hundreds of reviews I read, I thought it likely I'd never see my money again. But I never gave up and constantly bothered them through email and phone. So glad and relieved to be done with them once and for all. Special thanks to all who contributed nicely to this thread. "CNN is Fake News" was by far the most helpful. In fact I don't believe things would have turned out as nicely as they did, if it weren't for all their great advice. I knew I'd be barraged by trolls, but was hoping there'd be at least a few helpful people. And there was, so thank-you for your time and help. I'M FREE!!

I just got off the phone after finally finding their ultra secret hidden number that is nowhere listed on their website. Still feel like I'm being given the run around. All the representative told me was that my case would be forwarded to their security department so my account could first be unlocked, then refunded. But who knows how long this could all take. Feels like the battle has just begun. I've also reported them to BBB (better business bureau) and econsumer.gov and laid out my case. Don't have much hope they will do anything though. I'm confused about the company's whereabouts--I believe they're in the UK which is listed in their emails but then I find other addresses for them in Canada, US, and Switzerland, and Austria. But I think the UK is their main headquarters--not sure. It's just hard to properly report them when they have so many phone numbers, addresses, and emails. Hopefully the professionals reading my case can figure it out.

Kardinal--thanks for reading. Ya unfortunately I'm one of many. I'm not done with them yet though--not giving up
The BBB is for American company's only.

It's "only" FCA accredited.go through the ombudsman if you got a gripe.

I've been using paysafecard for 8+ years now and never had any problem with it. How come that it's always the other people who have problems with it? Makes me wonder what other people do wrong.

Rascal--I'm well aware of the ombudsman. I have filed claims with two other places though. The reason i haven't dealt with the ombudsman yet is I believe it is too early. THey say not to file claims with them until you get a final answer. Which I don't have yet, still dealing with them. Go to their site, you'll see

REENA--can you please tell me what you've been using paysafecard for all these years?
Silent Storm 23 listopada 2018 o 19:54
REENA--I'd love to hear some good places where one can actually use their Paysafecard voucher. They have a list on their website, but the selection is terrible.

just got off the phone today and boy was it very discouraging. And I thought the last rep was bad. This rep couldn’t tell me anything and refused to ever transfer me to a supervisor—claiming there wasn’t one. It was like talking to a brick wall. She sounded dazed and her entire tone was like she couldn’t care less.

The worst part of the call today though is she actually tried to blame me for not receiving the refund yet by saying I shouldn’t have folded the voucher. I WAS TOLD TO DO EXACTLY THAT BY THE LAST REP SO THE SERIAL NUMBER WOULD FIT IN THE PIC. She said that the whole receipt (1 foot long) had to fit in the picture. Of course I dismantled her at this point—explaining that I already had to send the voucher and id’s 3 times to the company because they didn’t properly explain what was to be included—2 TIMES!

Then she seemed to give up and listed the reasons why I have no refund:

My case hasn’t been processed
My case is sitting in queue
The call centre is understaffed.

So there’s my update. Oh and also, the BBB got back to me about my claim, telling me that it has now been sent to paysafecard. But they’ve already ignored about 4 complaints as you can see on the site. I now better understand why people in those reviews just gave up and let themselves be cheated. This is way too much work for me already.
