Questions on DBZ DVD/Blu-Ray Releases

I've been planning on finally starting to collect the whole Dragonball series on DVD/Blu-Ray but I have a few questions first.

First, Is there Blu-Ray releases for the original Dragonball? I've looked for them on Amazon but all I can find are the DVD's which are similar to the Orange Brick DVDs for DBZ except they're blue. I'd like to get it on Blu-Ray but if this is all there is I guess I don't have a choice.

Second, I'm aware of both the Orange Brick DVDs for DBZ and the Blu-Rays and how the both come with three different versions of audio. English Dub with American or Japanese Audio and the Japanese Dub with Japenese Audio. But what's the diffference between the English Dub American and Japanese audio?

Third, I've been watching DBZ for years so I've seen a few different broadcasts of it. I remeber the first time I started watching it was when it was on Cartoon Network. I've also seen it on Nickelodeon and the DBZ Kai braodcasts. Was Cartoon Network the original English Dub broadcast and is this the ones on The DVD's and Blu-Rays or was the ones on the DVD's//Blu-Ray's shown on another network? And if so was there any differences between the Cartoon Network broadcast and the ones that come on the DVD's/Blu-ray's? I'm assuming the DVD's and Blu-Ray's are the fully uncut versions knowing other broadcats have tamed it down for younger audiences, am I right?

But what I remember most about the Cartoon Network broadcast was the opening intro song which I always loved. Is this on the DVD's/Blu-Rays?

Either way, I'm still plannong on getting anything I can on Blu-Ray purley for the improved technical aspects. I just was curious about this stuff since there had been several difffrent broadcasta and cuts to the show.

Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball GT, and Movies are only on DVD not sure if Funimation plans to release a Blu-Ray version in the future.

Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Z Kai, Dragon Ball Super, and all Movies/Specials for Z are on both DVD, and Blu-Ray.

As for the other question you where asking the original Ocean dub intro Rock the Dragon is only found on the Dragon Box DVD collection. The orange boxed remastered season DVDs, and Blu-Ray sets don't have it.

Audio options on the DVD/Blu-rays tend to allow you to watch the Z with original Japanese audio & music, English audio & Japanese music, or English audio with Bruce Faulconer soundtrack. The Bruce Faulconer soundtrack is the one that was used when it was played on Cartoon Network, and has that classic Vegeta Theme with the guitar, and bell. In all honesty it doesn't really matter how you watch them, but I will say it is worth watching at least once Gohan going SS2 for the first time with the original Japanese audio & music.

No real point in Blu-ray version or Orange box sets of DBZ as they are zoomed/cropped. Get the Dragon boxes. Get any of the original DB and GT DVD sets.

Appreciate the suggestion but I just checked for the Dragon Boxes on Amazon and they are way too expensive. I'm still going to go with the Blu-Rays. I'm aware of the zoomed/crop thing but I heard it's better on the Blu-Rays then the DVD's which is why I'm going for those. I'll just start with the first season and see for myself but I'll just have to deal with it. Hopefully someday Funimation will release Blu-Rays with improved aspect ratio.
