Nintendo Switch or PS Vita?

I have used PSP GO and it was fantastic. Which i should buy?

vita, if you can get a phat with 3g at 3.65 firmware, you can hax it, run ps vita games, ps1 games, psp games, and any retro game up to n64.

Also the the 3g module can be swapped for a sd card adapter, and you can also get a sd card to vita game card adapter, I have the second with a 180 gb card in it.

Vita, hands down. Its modding scene has blown up as of late with tons of homebrew and ports being made for it.

I guess my opinion will be unpopular, but I say - go for PSV. I was playing for around 2 years with this handheld and games there were awesome:

1) Freedom Wars - love it, 360 hours both in single-player and multi-player
2) Toukiden - not as good as FW, 420 hours or so, but nice story and characters
3) Killzone: Mercenary - Sony invested in that one a lot and it is really astonishing. It beats CoD on its own field.
4) Wipeout 2048 - lighning fast racing game, easy to learn, hard to master
5) Gravity Rush - very nice concept and atmosphere, but too short.

And its just a fraction of the games that I have played. From my point of view, PSV was even better than PSP. I played only Tekken 5 and Ace Combat there, if I remember correctly.

Memory sticks or SD cards for PSV is veryyy expensive on amazon. I don't know why but internal memory is very well.

Also, there's always the bonus of the VITA being small enough to actually fit in a pocket. A Switch will need its own carrying case much like a laptop if you're planning on taking it outside.

As an owner of both definitely the Vita. Its a premium handheld intended for real gamers. Switch is another gimmick intended for Nintendo fanboys.

I've been side eyeing the Vita for many centuries.

Switch is sadly made by everybody's favourite imbecilic toy maker, Nintendo. Whilst I don't have one myself I have used one and it doesn't feel especially robust.

I vote Vita. Oh and yeah. the homebrewing scene is even better than PSPs.

Switch

The Vita is a dead console with nothing but bad indies and the occasional PS3 port. Sure it has a homebrew scene, but I'd rather have a console actually supported by the developer than a dead hunk of plastic with a tiny community.

I think Sony is pulling support for it entirely soon too

Also most Homebrews are of "bad indie" quality, shouldn't buy a console around them.

But bad indies and PS3 ports is the majority of what the Switch has too. There are a lot of noteworthy titles on the Vita. Switch has Mario, Zelda and nothing.
