Technically that isn't true at all. Valve did not state that, simply that new games on Steam will be required to disclose how much violence and nudity they have so that a proper filter can be used reliably.

Go find your tasteless pornography somewhere else. I don't consider a lot of them games in the same way I don't consider a porn video a movie. Sure they can both be videos and they can both be interactive but that doesn't mean that they're worthwhile and not tasteless. There is such a dedicated porn fandom online these days that I'm sure it's going to be a big health issue in future years.

I know that but essentiall most kids sett upp their account anyway without parents knowladge. its not that they can somehow change the sorting process of games later if they find out. "damage been done" unless ofcource Steam acknowladge that they are minior and have censure at start then meh i am okay with that.

You can try to help people with censorship but that only vilifies them and makes them feel understood or you can educate people on the long term effects of pornography.

I'm only saying that they've got bad taste and that they make too big of a deal out of it. With some bare few exceptions a lot of these kinds of "games" are more like art galleries with fan fiction stapled on. There aren't even many AAA games that handle the topic with any more grace than simple sexual appeal or shock value.

Beyond giving parents the tools they need to restrict their child's access to this kind of material I really don't have any interest in censoring games. Steam's approach to only mostly allowing it really isn't doing either side of the fence any favors anyway.

That's true, censoring the games does help as most parents won't have the first clue on how to censor the games and they won't notice until the child has a porn addiction. I think to some regards, it did help the parents.

I agree. People think nudity (cartoon nudity, I might add) is harmful to minors, but they don't pause to consider the violence and gore that saturates most popular games. It speaks volumes about the society we live in.

Not even games but movies too.
Like take Deadpool for exemple, the movie went all out on the gore but you can't see even one nipple in the whole thing, though it has many opportunities to do so

Most people are not going to experience war or violence close to the level that they see on videogames unless they join the army or a mixed martial arts club.
