Found a new word called Teaboo today is this actually a thing?

Teaboo
Like a weeaboo, but fetishizing British culture rather than Japanese culture. Think that watching Sherlock and Doctor Who give them any actual insight on the country at all and that saying things like "tea and crumpets" makes them interesting. Most likely have never actually been within 100 feet of a real British person in their life.

Why would you want to be biritsh we hate everyone and everything. England's ♥♥♥♥, overcrowded, lacking space and have immgrants that can't speak english but have lived here for several years. If I were to move to spain or germany or something I would definantly put effot into learning the language and I would excpect myself to be fluent atleast within the first two years.

But every country has a few bad holes. Just some countries have alot more.

You wont be able to speak German or Spanish in 2 years.. fluent.

I was in VRchat w/ a mate and a bunch of Americans started crowding and asking us if we were actually british to which our first response was no we're not. Then was called a Teaboo, ♥♥♥♥ off before I merc you ♥♥♥♥.

If you go to a bar and say soccor you're getting shaked up, aggrivates me when people call football soccor even not in my country.

I'm British and my last girlfriend was from Poland, she liked reading classical literature and made an effort to learn English.

You can generalize immigrants but it is ignorant if you rarely know any in real life. People often base their views on populist or sensationalist media, don't become one of them.

The Queen bypases law, does a lot of charity work. She opens new sessions of Parliament. She does a lot more as well and also it's culture. You can't get a whole nation with a rich history to change their culture becuase you don't understand it.

Yes. In fact I had a phase like this for about a month where I used to thing british stuff (accent, TV shows, food, etc) were all the best things ever.

yes, teaboos are unfortunately real. it's very irritating when people with a superficial understanding of your culture nerd out over British TV shows and sexy British accents. I mean, have they ever met a Scouser? the answer is no

people who slag off immigrants for no reason, as though they're an OAP in a care home trying to make smalltalk with the lady changing their bedpan, who then turns out to be Polish; are unfortunately, also real
