Cringe worthy ♥♥♥♥ people do online
ITT, we post really cringy stuff you see people doing online all of the time.
>Spazzing
Nothing quite ruins a conversation like someone getting butthurt, and then lashing out emotionally for five hours about a topic most people only somewhat care about anyway.
>Inserting politics into everything
Reading the comments section for an ecchi anime about peanut butter sandwiches? Hah, bet you never saw a capitalism VS communism debate coming!
>Fact checking fiction
Wow, who would have thought that a video game whose MC is an overweight magical fairy, just didn’t quite nail the intricacies of the Finno-Korean hyperwar. Half the time the dudes who do this kind of thing, aren’t right in their “correction” anyway.
>Fandoms
In addition to not being able to stand anyone naysaying their favorite whatever it is, these people will also go to the extent of forcing themselves to enjoy bad content just because it’s tangentially related to whatever it is they’re a fan of. You see this a lot here on Steam with games that are just barely even functional, coming back with reviews, which are “mostly positive.” They’re, also quite often hypocrites as well, and often cross into the next category.
>I hate it, so you better hate it too
“I see you’re enjoying that show, better tell you why you’re stupid for it.” This is one, which just doesn’t make any sense to me. I’ll be on Crunchyroll, or something, and then peek down at the comments section to see that all the way into episode 30, there are still people talking about how bad the show is. Not only do they stand to gain zilch from this, but they also don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of actually changing anyone’s opinion by this point. Most of the time when I see this, it’s because they hate the show, because it’s somehow too similar to the show they think is the pinnacle of modern entertainment.
>Meme/joke overuse
Oh, you like that? Well then maybe I should just proceed to spam countless variations of it until you don’t.

You have a point, in that I joined the stupid anyway.

In the end you cannot deny they have put a bad mark on some games like bfv when they supported women being in the game. Now i might have no problem with that if they did it right but knowing ea that lets them shove 100s of cosmetics that we can pay for. The fact that they would break immersion and put a ton of paid cosmetics while still having a ton of people supporting them on this is pathetic.
Y'know, that reminds me of a related thing:

I don't generally have much at all to do with the games that get on onto controversy radars, with regards to content, industry practices, or otherwise. For better or worse, the games I enjoy tend to be relatively tame, as well as old news in general. So I haven't much of an opinion on stuff like No Man's Sky, or Mass Effect Andromeda, or Call of Duty infinite sequels, or such.

But sometimes it happens. Like, for example, I may be interested in a visual novel that has been changed from its Japanese release by taking out 18+ content. It just so happens that I don't care for 18+ content, so I don't object to this on a personal level, as long as the story makes sense without it. Now, I understand why some other people do get upset about that. And I'm fine with their being upset about that, as long as they don't bother me and my enjoyment.

But sometimes, when I don't support some angry boycott they've organized, they try to guilt me into their cause, by saying that by not supporting them I'm "supporting censorship" or some other eeeeevil thing. No, I'm just being a regular consumer, with my own tastes and preferences.

Look, I have my own pet thing. I strongly prefer DRM-free games. But I'm not going to go around berating other people for buying games with Steam DRM or Denuvo or whatever. I have the right to order myself around, but I don't have the right to tell other people that they should feel guilty about enjoying some game they like. If they don't mind DRM, then that's up to them, and I'm not going to hound them over it. I might mention it in passing, but I think the important point is knowing when to stop.

And same goes the other way. If you want to convince me to join your boycott, you can try, but my not agreeing with you or not caring about your pet issue doesn't give you proper cause to berate me over it.

And honestly, this applies to all other consumer-choice type issues. For example: Do you want more games with well-written female protagonists? Buy more games with well-written female protagonists. On the other hand, do you feel that this other game has an improperly shoehorned-in female protag? Go ahead and don't buy it; no one's forcing you to, and no one's taking away all the rest of your other games when this one comes out.
I could care less about the sex of a protagonist, but when the timeline/world they are in is just not appropriate, i cannot support that.

Okay. I'm still stuck on the limiting free speech part. So a bunch of journalists are idiots? Okay. Why did the internet have to invent a whole another word for that? "Idiot" wasn't good enough?
They limit free speech my calling cops on people in public, attacking them with bike locks in an attempt to kill them, blackmail, etc. I never said they all do that, but they are willing to. Second thats sort of the point here, some sjws can be annoying, but also willing to ruin someone elses life.

I'd really like to see a source for all that stuff and not just some vague, unverified thread on /pol/ or reddit. An actual verifiable source that a journalist was going to do that. Because if someone publically declared that they were going to do something like that, they'd be arrested.

Look up any antifa event, there is almost always police called. There was that one guy who got smashed over the head with a bike lock. Odds are i could find alot more examples but thats just a waste of time. Also they never did catch the guy who hit the person over the head with a bike lock despite them knowing his face.

That was Eric Clanton. /pol/ caught him back when /pol/ was still worth a ♥♥♥♥. It’s still in court, but his lawyer is trying to drag things out as much as possible.

I thought were were discussing the journalists whom you were referring towards?

Now another example may not be an sjw if you go with my def of it, but its still too horrible to not mention. There was that one guy that drove a dodge (or at least i think it was) into a crowd of activists.

Yeah, that faction is more, or less what I was talking about with mirror image SJWs. Both are degenerate ideologies, which serve no purpose outside of subverting their host nations imo. When you think of that case, it even undermined the cause of those wanting to keep the statues up.

I just don't like any extreme far groups of any side, they all have too much violence in them for me to support anything like that. Anyways back on track, i thnk that people who beg for likes on comments are cringy.

Lol, that makes me think of titty streamers. It’s just immature attention seeking either way.

Just so we are clear. The guy who ran over a bunch of protesters and killed a person, along with severely injuring several other people is somehow on the same level of people who complain about not enough women being in video games?

Alright then.

No, not at all. I said that due to the fact that it was similar to the topic and it was a horrible act that i had to mention.

Running over people is similar to complaining about not enough women being in video games?
