Surround sound headphones with HeSuVi
Does anyone have any experience using HeSuVi? It is a headphone surround sound virtualizer that you can use with virtually any sound card and headphones. If you have for example, onboard HD Audio and the latest Realtek drivers you should be able to set the speaker configuration of that to 5.1 channel, install Equalizer APO on that output device, which makes tweaks between the driver and Windows control over the device, and lets you inject surround sound virtualization into your onboard audio.

There are huge advantages to this over DTS Headphone X, Windows Sonic, and Dolby Atmos in the fact that those three software solutions, suck. DTS isn't so bad, but Atmos and Sonic to me just sound like glorified stereo audio. HeSuVi in my time with it gives me a far, far superior, and more natural sounding solution that applies crossfeed, reverb, and some other filters to make the audio sound far more natural

If you have a stereo only soundcard, like my Khadas Tone Board external DAC, you can use a VB-cable virtual cable which can be detected by windows as a surround sound device, install Equalizer APO to the VB-cable, and apply HeSuVi to that, you just have to go to your recording devices, find VB cable and "listen" to that device with the sound card of your choice (like my external DAC) and voila, surround sound virtualization on a legitimate piece of audiophile gear.

So, just something for y'all to look into if you want to make your game audio sound friggin amazing, in fact, the combination of the surround sound processing making headphone audio sound realistic and natural, combined with the audiophile DAC and a decent pair of headphones, my music sounds better than I have ever heard it before.

This is probably better suited for the Hardware/Software sub-forum why don't you post it there instead?
