The kid who wouldn't fight back because its not the jedi way...
Just read this on facebook and at first I though it was fake news but seems to be true. The story to this....

This 10 year boy named aiden vasquez has been getting builled at school and has now ended up in hospitall with stitches to his head. But according to his mother, he won't fight back because he believes its not the jedi way to fight back. Even mark hamill who learned of this wrote that this boy 'is astonished by his wisdom and courage'.

End of the day bullies pick on the weak, defenceless, the vulnerable and thoses that can't fight back. But the only way to deal with bullies is too fight back or the bullying will continue.

I hate bullies with all my heart (I was once bullied at school) but in my own view... The lad and his parents need to stop this jedi nonsense or he will be a victim all his life. The world isn't a movie were the good guys always wins by words because its not, the world is a evil place humans can do evil things too each other.

Sometimes the only way is too use violence against violence, but I know lads like aiden won't ever fight back because its the way they character and his school is kind of powerless to act to be honest (same happens in the UK).

Well lets see, if he doesnt fight back he could die, on the other hand if he does fight back he could end up killing the other kid or the other kid will end up killing him. This is a classic example of bad parents and school staff. I know a lot of people are going to say that he needs to rip that bully a new one, but school really isnt ideal for all out natural selection to take place.

Jedi arent the good guys and they never won or lost.

Regardless, that ideology is sound. Its just that people who follow it tend to end up dead.

Not to oppose self-defence, but as a society, we quite intentionally put structures in place such that “fighting back” doesn’t have to mean using violence.

If you ignore them and don't give them any reaction, then two things will happen:

At first it will become a game for them, to see what it takes to get to you.
But by high school, they'll get bored of this game and leave you be.

Also fear. Fear is an excellent tool. Make them fear for their lives while projecting a perfect student image. School kids are superstitious, if you can trick them into thinking you can kill them with your brain, you're GOLD. Maybe this only works for the top honor students, though.

My bro got suspended for terroristic threatening once (brought a Deathnote to school and was using it), but I'm willing to bet that everyone was too afraid to ♥♥♥♥ with him after that. I wouldn't know.

Well the kid has certainly proven that he's the victim, and now authorities should step in to actually resolve the issue in his favour. It's an admirable attitude. I doubt he will stick to the Jedi excuse forever though as he'll get older, but that doesn't mean he can't still be pacifistic.

If someone told me they could kill me with their mind, i would challenge them to a Yu-Gi-Oh duel

Well the school probably would have punished him too if he fought back

Hell yes. Love me some Yu-Gi-Oh. Too bad the Demon's Kiss card got revamped into Malevolent Nuzzle. Loved that card.

Fighting back is scary, this kid probably is just scared and talk about jedi stuff instead because he think it's more cool and don't want to talk about how scared he is because he fears that things could get even worse.

So, instead of telling the bullies that they should quit it and punishing them for their behavior, we should tell this kid to become more like them?

Yes, that's definitely a way to create a healthy, functional society...

Seems bad. I was bullied before infact it was bad enough where they tried to kill me once. After that I got out and spent a few years isolated somewhat. But now I am stronger and I am happy to fight all who stand in my way and to fight battles for others to protect them.

What I am trying to say do not fight to just protect you self even make up a extra excuse in your head such as you are doing it to protect others if you have to.
