I'm trying to get a custom 1.12.2 modpack to work and everytime i try to install NEI it crashes anyone know a fix, heres te crash report

I'm not 12 and I tried askeing the minecraft fourums it's been 12 hours and no reply yet. Same with Reddit

Nei is client side I believe, this means that you just need it on the client and not installed on the server, I have made this mistake plenty of times before

Try removing mods and put them in a custom folder. Then proceed to add more mods slowly until your game crashes again. How many mods do you have? And once it crashes remove your last mod you added. It may be incompatible.

Everymod in the mod pack works perfectally fine with eac oter except for NEI for some reason JEI works but it's ♥♥♥♥ compaired to NEI

If this is only specifically happening due to NEI still. You should probably try a different version of NEI. If it doesn't work. Possibly you need the core to the mod. Or there are too many items to load.

I'm putting the mod file in the modpack mods section isint that client side?

Just have the mod on you and other potential players minecraft installs and not in the server, it will still function normally

Too many items. TMI works plenty for me even with 102 mods.
