Haha, i know, i live here, and i agree with everything you said.
Doesn't mean they can't make a decent tv show, which is what the post is about.
(I own every book Terry Pratchett ever wrote, and am cautiously optimistic too)
So how does that mean a show they make can't be half-decent?
edit: therefore cars are bad, much like my posts
While I'm at it, I will now torment you with the thought of Warwick Davis playing Vimes.
Lol. I wish Brian Cox was a bit younger and in good shape. Think he'd have made a good Vimes.
If we're fan casting, and i know i'll probably get slaughtered here, i'd take Channing Tatum as Carrot. I think he's a better actor than he gets credit for and could definatly play the naive and physical
The Discworld is from a series of books by Terry Pratchett. They are fantastic in my opinion.
Very much so. I miss the old man. *removes hat and bows slightly*
Because there's 0 chance that BBC goes under or loses money for making a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ show that's unprofitable. So there's no incentive to actually make sure the show is good or any sort of innovation.
No repercussions for inserting propaganda or sjw stuff (which BBC does on a daily basis) like you'd get in the private free market.
Not to mention the ethical dilemma of taking every person's money in the country by implied threat of force (with no consent) so you can pay for government funded entertainment media that the majority of the population doesn't watch.
Ah the classic "Muh roads" straw man. Cus ya know roads are totally the same as an entertainment and news station funded by taxpayers to put out media regardless whether it would survive on its own or if it was any good.
Oi, you got yer tv loicense?! Make sure ya hand in yer butter knoife down at the knoife drop of box, and careful to not get thrown in jail for posting a meme without yer loicense!
Yeah, nothing quite like him now.
There's a guy where i live dresses exactly the same as Pratchetts general look, same facial hair and stuff as well.
For a while after TP died the guy would walk past the window of my work in his wax jacket and that hat and for half a second i get excited, then remember he'd passed. Soul wrenching.
RIP Pratchett.
Hey man, could i ask if you'd mind not de-railing the thread? I was just hoping to chat about Discworld.
No problem man. My apologies for derailing the thread. I won't continue further.
