Ask on discord. This is not a discord help page. Why does everyone come here for help with non steam sites and apps.

Cause its called off topic. And why can't everyone just look what is say about not saying anything if you don't have an answer.

Because discord has their own help forum use that. As they will have alot better answers because you know they made the app.

You think that I'm that dumb to not have thought of that. They did not provide any help so I figured I could try elsewhere.

Off topic is still for steam related things, just things that are not explicity what the other specific forums are for.

FYI, just checked and their main website did show up for me. Perhaps you have some kind of firewall in the way? Have you looked into running the tracert program? (traceroute if you're on linux) That might reveal that you have a misconfigured device in the way(its not sending your request packets, etc). Might need to log into your router and fix that.

Flush your DNS cache.

In the command prompt...

ipconfig /flushdns

After you've done that, re-boot your PC.

If that fails, then proceed to change your DNS settings, as your ISP's default DNS may be sucky.

I personally recommend cloudflare's private DNS...

https://www.windowscentral.com/how-configure-cloudflare-dns-1111-service-windows-10-and-router

1.1.1.1

Lastly, it's possible that the site may be blocked on your router or fire-wall configurations.

If you're using a private network, contact your network administrator.

Some ISP's may block certain domains for unknown reasons, so inquire with your ISP.

A simple ICMP echo request should reveal more information.

In the command prompt...

If you're getting request timed out, then you can see that the site is unreachable.

The first thing did not work but when i did the last option it gave me this Pinging discordapp.com [104.16.59.5] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 104.16.59.5: bytes=32 time=22ms TTL=56
Reply from 104.16.59.5: bytes=32 time=21ms TTL=56
Reply from 104.16.59.5: bytes=32 time=21ms TTL=56
Reply from 104.16.59.5: bytes=32 time=17ms TTL=56

Ping statistics for 104.16.59.5:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 17ms, Maximum = 22ms, Average = 20ms

what does that mean exactly?

Ping is a simple network diagnostic tool.

It sends an ICMP echo request and if the host is up & running there's an ICMP reply.

As you can, discord is up & running.

As per: https://status.discordapp.com/ this is clear as well.

I listed some other links to try such as changing your DNS settings.

This is an important step, so try to configure that and report your results.

These errors typically occur when something is blocking the connection to the site.

Your ISP's DNS may be whacked.

Can you also check the time & date on your PC?

Ensure that it is correct, including the usage of the correct time-zone.

These are also NOTORIOUS for causing issues with the SSL certs.
