Axis and Allies 2004 Atari

Anyone remember Axis and Allies on PC from Atari? I keep finding overpriced "new" copies on ebay and the like, but I was wondering, what about suggesting to Steam? I don't know how many others would like to see the game added, or how to go about suggesting to Steam to try to add the game to the store. What are y'all's opinion of the game/getting it added?

I used to play Quake & other FPS like Wolfy ET and played them competitively - i loved ID softwares' titles.

Had a lot of fun with them and spent hours on those old titles.

I played the original Wolfenstein and a couples titles that released for the Xbox, as well as a few of Unreal's games. all good titles.

Thank you. After doing some research I found the only company still around that was involved was it's publisher, Atari. I have sent them an E-mail, but I'm not aware of who is currently the license holder since TimeGate defucnted and SouthPeak is dissolved.

Sorry for jumping into this about 2 years late but I think the current holder of Axis & Allies IP would be Sereno Ventures LLC (DE), which acquired most of the assets of Encore Software LLC at a bankruptcy auction in 2017. It's unclear whether this company or Atari possesses the necessary licenses to bring the game to Steam.

i spent 2 years of mi life playing this game,i played with the official server then they disconnected it and ..end. It was a really good rts game, simple and effective.
we are a group of 8 friends wishing that this game can be one day in Steam...

literally played this game for years online, was so much fun. and then one day the servers just shut down and just like that you could only play single player. I've looked and looked everywhere for maybe a private server or if it was ever added to steam and no luck. :/ maybe one day lol

A&A is a good boardgame. My friends and I played it frequently and it was usually guaranteed to inspire a board-flipping event for some... The various PC Ports have been hit-or-miss, really, in terms of the same quality experience. I had/have the original PC version and its play was decent.

I don't know who owns the development licensing for A&A PC Ports. It's likely to be Hasbro under one of their subsidiaries. (AH/WotC)

For those necroing, the game is still compat with Win 10. I play it regularly.
There's community mods that update the game's compatibility and there's prolly other things. Just check moddb if you're struggling.

From my limited experience with board games, this one included, it depends on the group. When you play a board game IRL the tone/people make or break the game. It can be a fun experience with friends, or a horrible experience with total strangers whose personalities don't mix. Virtually (Speaking for the 2004 Atari version) you get the RTS experience and see your units moving and doing battle.

These are two different styles of play each with their own pros and cons. Whichever you enjoy most comes to experiencing yourself and going with that.
