Lawrencium

Because it is a synthetic chemical element with symbol Lr (formerly Lw) and atomic number 103. It is named in honor of Ernest Lawrence, inventor of the cyclotron, a device that was used to discover many artificial radioactive elements.

Diamond isn’t an element, nor is it tough...

The quick answer is: Diamond is a pure element, carbon; gold is a pure element, gold; and rust is a compound, Iron Oxide, of iron and Oxygen. Diamond is pure elemental carbon, compressed to its crystal form, under extreme heat and pressure deep within the Earth. The symbol for carbon is C.

Diamond isn’t an element, even if it is pure carbon, the element is carbon, diamond is the structure.

I would, but i can’t right now. But for simplicity’s sake, lets just say if it isn’t on the periodic table, it doesn’t count.

What element would be closest to that? Fluorine?

Aye, if I remember correctly, it’s used in airplanes. Interestingly, the colloquial term for titanium in Chinese translates to “airplane metal”.
