Why do we have to pay for online in consoles?

PS4 is nice and all but they make you pay money for online for some unknown reason. why consoles in particular are the ones that do this anyways?

because console gamers are the dumbest gamers of any platform i have ever seen, some don't care they are being ripped off, some are too young, dumb to know any better and others even openly support it by idiotically thinking sony and microsoft need the money to maintain servers. I have seen anyone so open to anti consumer behavior like console gamers.

The console versus PC online models are completely different. Steam take 30% off the top from game sales because they are almost entirely digital Market. Xbox and Playstation operate off a different model as a subscription service as a majority of their sales are in physical copies.

The money for service of keep has to come from somewhere, and it does. I personally have absolutely zero issue with this. I understand that it exists and why it does. I enjoy almost all the benefits currently of both services, and I don't pay anything. if I decide I need to do multiplayer again on consoles I'll simply buy a gold card for a month.

And before you goofy monkeys decide to say it's greed please stop. These are very large companies and their entire goal isn't provide you with excellent gaming experiences but to make money. The game experience come secondary. It's the nature of the market that we created. If you don't like it don't participate, it is an entirely optional service offered for console owners, which has a more solid culture of single player experiences.

I'm actually gaming a lot more on Console recently. I'm quite content with this. They're all video games and the different platforms simply offer a different experience.

Oh wow! You link the video to a YouTuber I have no idea who they are, arguing your point. Boy you sure did prove me wrong. I could do the same but I don't really care.

I don't blindly follow trends such as picking either console or PC. I'm an equal-opportunity gamer. Which gives me a very different perspective on the whole thing. I can be quite impartial. my argument has not been debunked because I'm not arguing. I'm pointing out very simple facts. PC gaming is great. That is pretty much where I do any multiplayer gaming. But I also play consoles fairly heavily.

But this is a topic that you just can't win it, so I'm out. You have fun now.
