which assassins creed games are cannon ? No spoilers please.

I'm a huge fan on the assassins creed series but i left off on rogue. I havent played unity, syndicate, orgins,or oddysssey. My main question " out of the four ive listed is unity and sydicate cannon?" i read somewhere that unity"s story may not be cannon, nor syndicate. some are even saying that orgins and oddessy may not even be cannon. Im sorry its seems that i have a few questions not just one. No matter if they are cannon or not... I may still buy them very soon...

im sorry, but can someone please shed some light on this ? Im just hoping that the next four ac games on my list aren't just all spin offs but yea thanks in advance.

Well the AC games with ships have cannons, Origins is too far back to have cannons. I don't know if cannons show up in Syndicate.

I think they're basically all Canon, except for those 2D ones they made a year back or so, but even then, who knows.

^This. I didn't even think that there was an issue with lore in Assassins Creed. Ubisoft just does whatever to keep the cash train going. Story takes a backseat.

Afaik they're all canon, even the 2D platformers. Didn't even know there was a rumor of canon or non-canon Assassin's Creed. I'm suspicious of Odyssey (how are they working Assassins into the story? Or is it a Precursor tale?), but we won't know until the game comes out.

Pointing out that they have cannons isn't trolling, dude. Maybe next time not ask whether or not something is a cannon if you want to know if something is in canon.

Basically all the games leading to the third entry in the series are Canon to the main story while every other game afterward is Canon but is to be considered as a Side Story
