Thanks, never actually thought of that. I mainly wanna know how to pronounce words and what not first.

Try get actual classes because in my experience it's the best way to learn to at least get the foundations that enable to continue with self study

I'm fond of those old travel guide phrasebooks that talk about pronunciation and grammar for the first couple chapters or so. I've got one here for Polish that goes through the alphabet and its sounds, then several sections on grammar, sentence structure, and tenses. So many tenses, omg. Then you have the most useful phrases (though a bit dated, as you likely won't need to ask for the telephone or locate a phone booth) written in the various scripts to help you learn and understand, followed by a dictionary for on-the-spot translation.

There's also teacher supply shops and campus bookstores where you can get independent learning materials, textbooks, workbooks, and computer progams.
