Anyone else having problem with Wii Shop Channel

I tried getting into my Wii Shop Channel but nothing happens and I get error code 209552. I'll keep trying it to see if it eventually fixes itself but I just wanted to see if anyone else is having or has had that issue and knows how to fix it or if I can just wait it out. I understand the Wii Virtual Console is clossing in 2019 but it's not 2019 yet so it should still be working right? Also because of the upcoming closing I saw that you can no longer add Wii points to the VC. Does that mean I can no longer buy games on the VC or can I just buy them staright up with a credit/debit card? If not then what's the point of keeping the VC up and running if I can't buy games on it anymore? Why disable the ability to add Wii points so early before initial shutdown? I want to get Castlevania Rondo Of Blood and Adventure Rebirth but it may be too late. I wish now I had gotten them before when I knew about them being on the VC.

I have modern router that isn’t compatible with my Wii, but I have mini router I can use instead. Try an older router.

I looked at this and I have no idea what the whole channel thing means. I have a newer modem so I don’t think it has that feature.

I still don’t have an answer about my other questions about buying games on the Virtual Console because trying to get the Shop Channel to work won’t matter if I can’t buy games on the VC anymore. Refer to my first post.

If you can't buy points, how would you be able to buy anything from the shop, even if you could connect to it?

Just remember OP, any time you buy a console they can pull the plug on you if they decide too. Doesn't matter if you paid 2,000 dollars for the console and it released last year.
