Gaming community was ok

The only thing that "saved" PC gaming was the release of WoW, it proved that PC games are not dying and in-fact are still great, but I don't think there was any game ever to save gaming in general.

i know i use to be homed school and played WoW all the time several years ago... Fortnite proved crossplay could be a thing for small triple a titles... it saved the gaming community. Probably before your time
