How to make a paper ball throwing blowgun?

i want to shoot my classmates with papers when it's recess. not intended for hurting anybody though, only for the ♥♥♥♥s and giggles.

1. tube
2. wet paper.

instructions:
1. put wet paper into one end of tube.
2. blow as forcefully as you can from the other end of tube.
3. go to jail for killing/maiming the other persons around you.
4. cry and regret what you have done.
5. swear to never follow any lesson from stranger on the internet.

I like to go with the sneak 100 option, which is using a straw and smoll paper balls, the mental damage is much greater

those puny things? they only have thing and short straws. but maybe i can smuggle stronger straws if i buy some from the store.. and i can throw the paper balls to weird angles, if the straws can be curved.. yes..

That I am going to tell you, you can even destroy windows with it.

A whole DIN A4 paper. Masively fold it until you have a 4cm long and max 1cm wide one. Use a duct tape on it to seal your projectile. With a stronger rubber band ...

What about making a circular frame by cutting the mouth from a large diameter drinks bottle then, attaching a ballon using an elastic band via the "wrap and tuck" technique.

I always used a pen tube. Unscrew the end and cap . Remove the ink stick thingy and there you go. Wet paper spit ball blow gun tube.
Alternatively.
Plastic tubing from hardware store. Some tape and a rubber glove. Cut finger off (thats the gloves finger, not your hands) tape to end of tube. Load a small rock or stone or ball bearing or marble. Have fun

It's more about the spitball than the launcher. You want something that'll form a good seal, and which will slide easily. That seal is where you velocity and range comes from, the same as with a bullet in a gun.

Although I personally prefer using hair ribbons to make a slingshot. I understand that's probably hard for a guy, but it's an easier way to go.

I’ve left little red marks from table tennis / ping pong balls… I think there isn’t much hope of having fun without any danger. (We used to be able to ignore the danger…)

You should be able to ‘lob’ a dried pea in a reasonably straight arc and achieve good enough accuracy, the key is not to try and rocket them as hard and as fast as possible. The release technique becomes impossible, and their rough shape and low mass makes them hopeless in terms of accuracy at very high speed.

Instead use the blessings of clandestine physics to your advantage: the draw distance can be kept short, which shortens the power-stroke and limits speed. Draw weight and material can be kept to a minimum as the projectile mass and energy are also to be kept to a minimum. Even the quality of the latex can be slightly sacrificed!

[off-topic] In ‘theory’ the thinner the latex, the faster it should shoot… (especially in hotter climates). My humble experience is that the thinner bands cool too quickly to achieve better speed. I’ve had more luck with 0.5mm thickness. Your mileage is likely to vary.

Most quality balloons ought to be around 0.35mm thick and 100% latex.

You could also just try using either a #75 rubber band or even #108!
Using the rubber bands instead of the balloons?
Most rubber bands aren’t close to 100% latex maybe 80-90%??? and are either 1/16” (1.6mm) or 1/32” (0.8mm) thick.

Or going all in and use fitness stretch bands / Pilates band / physiotherapy consumables.
Theraband has an excellent reputation, and it available in a range of thickness (highlights include Gold, Silver and Black plus possible Blue if you want something thinner and maybe faster.) But you might be able to find something awesome locally too.

I couldn’t get great #75s, but I had some luck with 5star and #64 for other slingshot things.
