Zombies are boring. Move on.
Too many games with zombie survival thing. Stoped buying them. How about a vampire or werewolf or just plain old Mad Max (where it's just gangs of bandits that are constantly making your life a race) type of survival game? You know where the enemies do actually have a functioning brain and you do need to be worried about your life, instead of worrying about drinking every two minutes or you magickly will die from constipation.

Indeed. It's an overused concept that loses its charm the more I see it. It's almost obligatory at this point.

Black holes with sinister tendrils creeping out to deliver an incomprehensible vision of death. I'd love to experience that for a survival setting.

Need more fighting games where you run around small towns and big city beating gangs up as you do random stuff on the side for fun.

Also in 3D.

Depends on the game, I guess. I had loads of fun in Dying Light, but that’s probably because the map is fun to explore.

Zombie movies are all complete arse, though.

That actually sounds like it would be an awesome setting for a game. Like the OG Half-Life, but you aren't the overpowered Gordan Freeman. All the struggles of a typical survival game with the added addition of fighting creatures from another dimension.

If someone knows about a game like this, please share it.

Mordheim. But an action/survival where you are just one of the regular people who got caught in the middle of the thing and have to avoid all of the factions as they don't care and would rather just kill you. With time you might be able to develop some sort of relationship with one of the factions (which would make you a target of the other factions) but they are not going to go out of their way to protect so don't depend on them for help. Just maybe some trading. Stones for supplies (or something like that). You are nothing special but can develop yourself through doing things (no books that immediately teach you how to build a nuclear reactor). Slower game but getting through a day alive would feel like a victory.

"Zero Latency", some new VR-themed theme park setup in Australia that they are developing. It’s the next step up from the laser tag arenas. People with VR headsets, powered by portable PCs that are carried on a backpack. People wear those, along with these light guns (Think the old light guns on the Nintendos, only assault-rifle sized) and they go blasting virtual zombies.

It’s *always* zombies! And that, by itself, turned me away. It couldn’t be anything fun or interesting like giant bugs ("Starship Troopers") or xenomorphs ("Aliens"). Nope, mundane played-out zombies.
