Does it suck to be an introvert?

I usually isolate myself from others that are around me, yet dislike being alone. Whenever I try to join in, things just don't work and I end up back where I started. Idk :/

Maybe. I used to go through that when I was younger. What I did was stop caring put on a hawaiian shirt some sunglasses and walked up to a random girl and held my hand out and danced with her.

Now adays I am never shy because I tell myself I am number one.

Do you think you're just conditioned to being isolated, and you find it hard to integrate now that you truly want to?

I'm an introvert and always lonely myself. It doesn't have to be all or nothing though, all i need is a best friend, I think we all do. I never heard of anyone not wanting to ever talk to anyone, introvert or not, everyone needs somebody.

Being introvert means you don’t feel the need to talk with others so much, and have no issue with being alone most of the time. Seeing as you dislike being alone, but “things just don’t work out”, I would say you are not introverted but rather just very insecure

Nope. I crave isolation. I actually dread any sort of social setting. I don't even like to go grocery shopping. I'd probably be fine if I was stranded on an island (assuming I had the survival skills to survive on said island).
