Why is video-game journalism so bad?
just a week ago it was plagirasing a Dead Cells review and now this?
https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-08-14-valves-forgotten-game-team-fortress-2s-shocking-toxicity-problem
tl;dr to that artice: Team Fortress 2 has a major toxicity problem because a bunch of edgy 12 year olds tried to get attention by harassing a woman.
the author took a good look at the article actually said "yeah, this looks is fine" after finishing it. Toxicity is a problem in every online game including TF2 for more than a decade, and they think there is something wrong with toxicity in games just now, in TF2 in particular? What??

Kids are toxic by nature in groups. Ignorant crtiques must be single without any kids in the extended family.

1. Game journaliats are rarely gamers (cup head)
2. They have agendas to push
3. They need clickbait to get attention (Otherwise people go to their favorite youtubers)
4. They have agendas to push
6. They need clickbait to get attention
7. They have agendas to push.

Video games """"""""""journalism""""""""""

Why twelve year olds attack the whamens though? Whamens are on the protected list they can't attack the whamens.

Bully Hunters 2 coming soon.

Journalism is dead if you want real honest journalism you'll have to stick with small independent journalists who claim that they're trying to stick with the truth and authenticity over agendas and propaganda. Like Tim Pool, I like that guy.

It seems like there is genuine negligence from the moderation team to address the sexism and harassment of the community, they may cause discomfort to some female gamers and that's why I believe the journalist is right to address this type of behaviour.

Of course, it isn't just the job of the moderation team to discipline children but parents must start to strictly discipline children. If the children were behaving unruly, they shouldn't be allowed to use a computer.

it's really not sexism when an edgy little kid trying to do the "le epic gamer girl troll" or something. game journalists are just milking anything female related for a while now

In a perfect wold we would have perfect parents with perfect little children.

Not frazzled parents and snot eating boggy monsters in the form of children IRL.

Well journalism is based around getting as many articles read and produced as possible, and if that means they write an article about how "Demons is an offensive word, please use mortally challanged" is a meanie bobeanie joke and is deeply offensive, then they write it.

They do what they do because it gets more clicks

If they were behaving in a harassing manner towards members of the opposite sex, they will not learn that it is wrong to harass women if a moderator doesn't address the issue and teach them how to behave. It is the job of the moderation team to ensure that correct code of conduct is followed and that all members follows the terms of services regardless of gender or age.

yes, advertising ate journalism and made everyone have to write 11 Weird Things About Mario's Penis You Never Knew Before in order to actually get paid for writing

This article is actually about notable community members and competitive players suffering through harassment from the community. These people weren't just getting insulted by randos on pubs, they were getting harassed at events.

It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up this is still happening since I figured Tagg's decision to stop attending events because of all the ♥♥♥♥ that was happening to him would actually motivate people to take out the trash.

i feel like they know that harassing women is bad, and they are doing it because people tell them not to do it. which creates a really dumb paradox
