What is your experience with Gaming Fanboys?

Whenever I post something related to me choosing xbox/nintendo over a playstation console, there is always some fanboy that will
1. Swear at me
2. Tell me "Nintendo is for babies/Xbox has no games"
3. Tell me i'm a idiot for not choosing a playstation.

What is your experience with these gaming fanboys and what have they said to you, reply down below.

I just recently watched a video talking about phil spencer (head of xbox) not liking fanboys (including the xbox fanboys)

Phil retweeted a post about a game called little nightmares getting great reviews. Xbox fanboys weren't happy about this as little nightmares was also on pc and switch, so they tweeted to him about how they were mad about him retweeting about a multiplat, and he responded with "I'll never feel strange playing great games. You should play it on the platform you own."

I think it's good of Phil to be against fanboys, as fanboys are the worst part of any fanbase.

heck, phil even said back in 2016 that he was looking forward to uncharted 4.

he's also the guy who decided to bring all new xbox exclusives to pc, which is good for him to do.

My favorite console is taking a racket and a ball and hitting the ball against the wall with the racket until I get bored of it. If you didn't pick that console youre an idiot.

My experience with fanboys/fangirls of anything is that they’re blind to the flaws of the object of their fanaticism. And if you have anything negative to say about what they like, oh ho ho, prepare for a hail of insults!

yeah, ngl pc fanboys really annoy me, they always claim that you are a peasant if you play on console and that pcs are just as cheap as consoles but they don't know the fact that in some countries (including mine), PC parts are expensive and overpriced.

The annoying part of fanboys, whether it is games, movies, books, or even politics for that matter, is when they will refuse to acknowledge objective facts.You can show them a link to a site to prove them incorrect and they still accuse you of being a liar. That's usually the point I realize I'm dealing with a psychopath.

i think the worst kinds of fanboys are the fanboys that give bad reviews to a exclusive game that is not on their platform just because they don't own the console the game is on just to lower the metascore.

I'm fortunate enough that i never had to discuss anything with Sony or MS fanboys, but i had displeasure to experience crazy that is Nintendo Fanboys. Just few insanities i heard from them:

Wii u was going to be on par with ps4, and all devs were lying, and Nintendo could still sell it at for the launch price and somehow be on par with other consoles specs wise.

Then they said NS switch would be on par with ps4 and cost less than what ps4 cost at its launch

Scratches caused by top screen, random ips/tn mismatch with screens, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ specs, deteriorating paint, and more with the 3DS and apparently the approved "fix" was to buy NEW HANDHELD

Nintendo fanboys have insane, even child level understanding of specs, price or tech in general, yet very very low standards.

Idk if all fanboys are like that or is Nintendo fanboys even more retarded but i block them all if possible.

it's remind me that even back in the day with the n64 and psone you had nintedo fanboy that where talking highly of nintendo because their games have more colors and how the console is more powerfull because it's 64 bits ...

Everyone has fanboys. I was attempting to have a rational discussion about a crappy EA game 7 days to die, and a fanboy wouldn't accept that not everyone would love a game that hasn't been updated in over a year that's riddled with problems. Actually had him follow me to several posts and start posting on my reviews. The moderaters didn't give a ♥♥♥♥ because he's a fanboy, and eventually I blocked him.

Ha, same here. Just a few days ago I got into an argument/debate over the Harry Potter books. Long story short I told them I thought the series tanked hard after Order of the Pheonix and that Rowling was childish for wanting to kill off fan favorites because someone leaked the first few pages of Half Blood Prince. They were all up in my grill saying I was wrong and lying about Rowling, when I offered to send them a link to the interview where Rowling said that ... they said it was "an ambush by haters". At that point I realized there was no point talking to them anymore.

I mean, I can get very passionate about stuff I think is awesome or amazing ... but I don't blatantly ignore facts or flaws about what I'm into. I love the Wheel of Time series but acknowledge the ending was disappointing and a few things were inconsistent or made no sense lol.

I think I read a bit of your comments in that Forum. It actually dissauded me from getting it. I kept reading all sorts of praise and such about the game... but the Trailers basically showed no gameplay and a lot of the YT videos covering the game are actually using Mods. After seeing a Rabid fan just go full nutballs over the game, it made me question buying it lol.

EDIT: Though, in my experience, anime and Final Fantasy fanboys/girls are the worst version of them.

I tend to just ignore them, they just try to make a scene and in the end they just embarrass themselves and tend to get banned from the forums they post on. Most of the ones who go on rants are just little kids who need attention who can't stand to be proven wrong.

So just ignore them and watch them implode.
