I say buy them just to be on the safe side. Most of the games they made are licensed by other companies, and it is currently unknown what will happen to those titles once Telltale finally shuts down. Some may still be sold under a new publisher name, and others could just get pulled off the market completely.
I really liked two the first TWD and The Wolf Among Us.
It hasn't been made official yet. Plus it is still unknown as to how far the game's development went. At this point it is just speculation on the matter. For all we know they could just put what they have together, and release it. Best case scenario is we get all four episodes with bugs, and/or missing voice acting. Worse case scenario is we only get episode 2.
Well
Um
Let’s just say that the last three games using their licenses aren’t that good (but they were made by EA)
they have huge layoffs and will operate with a skeleton crew. it is not the same as shutting down.
