Teletubies are creepy

I don;t like them, they are weird and creepy and have no friends.

What always bothered me was the bunker they lived in, it always looked to me like some sort of long-abandoned fallout shelter that some former human called home, maybe their final resting place. The only other evidence we have of the existence of people prior to the Teletubbies appearance is a robotic vaccuum, windmills, and ominous speakers that can seemingly rise from anywhere to broadcast messages. What type of society did the people leave behind where the government could tell you what they wanted whenever they wanted, where the future of technology was bleak gray mainframes and where radiation bunkers were a place to call home? What does this make the Teletubby? Is it a product of the post-nuclear era? Did it used to be human, or was it something else?

I think each color was supposed to represent a different nationality or some such. I dunno, only reason I even heard of the teletubbies was when people freaked the phuque out over the purple one supposedly being gay.
