Also F.E.A.R., can't link it due to the store page not being available in my country.
Also I play STALKER which can get pretty creepy at times.
This is an excerpt from my review of the game.
"The single most terrifying experience I've ever had while sitting in front of my PC; and my GPU once literally caught fire while still in my tower."
I was not even able to complete it because it was just too scary for me.
Silent Hill 1 is the scariest game I have completed.
Silent Hill 2 and 3 were less scary.
Silent Hill 3 was even cheap and stupid.
FEAR was great for the actual anxious experience whilst playing and the jumpscare momments were well timed in my opinion.
Scratches was nicely atmospheric, not so much as Amnesia, but in those cases, neither really seemed to take that atmosphere beyond a basic level that was well established by halfway through.
Otherwise, no other games really seem to be anywhere near the mark - then again, can't say I've played a great deal of suppsoedly scary games.
