Stupid copypasta "reviews"

These copy-pasted reviews are everywhere, you can't go to a single store page without seeing them at the top. Seriously, just write an actual fricking review. If you don't know what I'm talking about:

Agreed. I felt bad for people who made an actualy game review and we got this " yup tick this and that annnnnnd done!" reviews.

Same. Sometimes, you don't feel like reading an essay. Sometimes, you do. I can appreciate that there are different formats.

I kinda like both. It would be nice if there was some sort of form where you could click 1-5 for different features and also a part to put in a written review.

I'd also like moderators to actually moderate the comments as well. I'm tired of fanbois going off that someone doesn't blindly like their favorite game.

My favorite lines of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are "only 10 hours of playtime, there's no way you've played enough to know what you're talking about"

or "with 10 hours of playtime theres no way you could dislike the game with that much time invested"

Those are actually the polite messages. Which is why I'll disable comments from now on.

There are quite a few threads about this and the majority say it is annoying and the rest say it is better than, “I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite game on Steam.”

i mean, i never really look at reviews frequently but i have never seen something like this.
ima go hunt for this type of stuff now, lets see how long it will take until i find one of those.

Perhaps Valve could appoint you as the arbiter of context so only the reviews you like get posted?

I agree. I think that people who review games on Steam should put more effort in creativity.

Most steam reviews are just "Previous game was better" and "I dont like this platformer because i dont like platformers" .

I believe there is an issue with the system at large, not just this particular type of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Interesting and fair point. Most steam reviews that I've come across lack detail (and yeah, I know I've done it once or twice) and it's definitely an issue.

I hate those. On my phone screen (Note 8, i.e. YUUUGE) I have to stare at that ♥♥♥♥ for a few seconds before I find the check mark. At this point, it's just reflex to ignore them.
