About aim assist on FPS (PC)
Since I was diagnosed with CTS 2 months ago I switched to XBOX 360 controller on pc to get some repose and relief in my wrist while I heal. This made me think a lot about the controller/PC combo.

Why you people are so stubborn about using KB/M? I got my CTS for playing with a mouse (with all the precautions, stretching etc) and playing the guitar. The combination guitar/controller wouldn't cause this according to the doc. So, seems like ppl prefer to get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ injury rather than losing some aim or being less accurate in a damn videogame. These days made me think that I prefer to play safe and relaxed than being accurate and the top of the match.

The point is, why not letting some minor aim assist on multiplayer pc versions of the games? Is just a little advantage against the godly KB/M i really can't understand. Yeah, okay, cheating, cheating is already happening without aim assist and will keep happening on pc no matter what we do, is just an invalid argument.

"Then go to console!" Nope, I want the benefits of the pc (AKA: 4K, smooth and high framerate, great graphics, customization, not paying for the server maintenance/internet, variety of hardware and building my own rig...)

"Controllers are not for FPS!" Maybe, but i'm not interested in being a pro player, I only want to compete at a normal level and a lot of ppl want the same, having fun and being casual. FPS on consoles seems pretty fun also, why not having the same experience on pc?

"CT syndrome is caused by controller too!" Research a little, get straight your facts and come back. Mouse is literally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up your hand. Is a matter of statistics.

if, like some ppl claim, PC is the platform of the freedom (Because you can basically use the hardware that you want, use mods, play with the graphics settings etc), it needs to level the field and give controller users support.

I don't know, I don't want to start a hate debate but it just burns me out so much bigotry about this topic. What are your thoughts?

If you want a fair advantage then you either need to git gud or stop using controllers. That's just how it is. Controllers aren't nearly as good as KBM
don’t use a controller nerd
Even if you're physically impaired, aim-assits can make you better then people who're not impaired. Which in turn would make a multi-player game one-sided. Plus then, anyone else who uses aim assits and hacks could just claim they're physically impaired, even though they're not to get away with cheating in-game.

Play the game as best you can and have fun. Don't use aim assist - it'll just ruin the game - both for you and the people you play against.

You're just repeating that controllers aren't as good as KBM, something that everyone knows. Why not leveling the field between both inputs? Let everyone have the experience the want to have. I just want an elaborate reply, please.
I don't think any PC games have the option to turn on Aim Assist, even if they detect that a controller is connnected.

If at all, there may be a small minority of games that have Aim Assist on PC, games which I do not know. My only suggestion would be to buy a console, but you seem to be against that already.

Ppl with KBM still destroys controller users with aim assist. And cheating is still a major issue in multiplayer pc games, I still don't see the con.

Fortnite has and is doing pretty good, at leat I have a chance against KBM users without being better or worse, just about equal or even a bit worse but not much.

Only consoles have aim assist on first person shooters. It's very unfair if it has in PC port and it'll look like the user is using an aimbot. So no, it doesn't need this in multiplayer because we have mouses.
Get an ergonomic mouse?

Well, that may be in part of my wording. When I hear the term, "aim assist" I think of 3rd party programs that turn your in-game character into a spinbot etc.

Your point of making a level playing field is mute however. It would kill the competitiveness of the game - and the fun of it too. KBM will always beat controller. So as I said; just play the game and have fun.

I already had it, everything about my setup is practically ergonomic. The problem is the concept about playing this way, i think.

I recommend you to see some Fortnite gameplays with controller, is possible to get aim assist implemented and maintain the competitive side of the game.

well uh... the thing is...
you can't do that with controllers BECAUSE they aren't as good. even with aim assist.
I don't even want to bother with this thread but I will say this:

In your pursuit of aim-assist try to understand what types of aim-assist you are looking for. There are also plenty of shortcuts that are common on console games.

Do you own Titanfall 2? Look up the advanced control options avaliable for it in a video (ideally on XBO or PS4 so you don't see any KB/M stuff). It's the gold standard. It's absolutely the best I've ever seen for a game because every controller feature I could name is there. Well, everything except more than a yes or no for aim-assist (I think?).

Your solution will probably involve a custom setup for your controller on your end.
