Their rules aren't reasonable at all though.
Best bet is to come up with what to say then have a discussion with them. I'd pick the one that I estimate is most likely to give in, and talk to them first. Are they also concerned you are going to watch porn or something and that is another reason they want you out in the living room? Their ulterior motives if they have them may come up in further discussion, or remain unsaid. Because "my privacy" is a legit reason to have the thing in your room, but bringing that up to paranoid, ignorant, or ideological parents can make them even more defensive.
You might try to bargain, that if they let you move it in there, you will do x. And if you don't, the computer can be moved back out in the living room.
If they still won't let you move it, the times neither of them are home, are golden.
You think she has it in the living room so she can play with him?? I don't think you read the description completely. It's not so bad if they let the kid play his games whenever he wants but i'm assuming she's stopping him from playing because why else would the pc be in the living room? Try to use your head more.
