They will still see that GPA and wonder WTF happened.
2.0 GPA is considered low for most colleges.
"If you have a high SAT/ACT score but low GPA, admissions officers will assume your academic potential is high – your SAT/ACT score shows that – but that your motivation is low, hence your low GPA.
A “smart slacker” could be the first thing that comes to mind when an admissions officer reads your file."

Why would they believe you?
You could, but youre also competing with hundred of other applicants who might have marginally better GPAs and whom are stating the exact same thing as you. Not saying you are a slacker, but college is even worse if you do tend to slack off. Like I stated, you aren't going to college for free. You slack off in your 2nd or 3rd year of college and end up dropping out (or getting kicked out) then you just wasted 3 years of your life and 3 years worth of college loans.
Whats wrong with a trade? Plenty of people going to college and coming out into an oversaturated workforce. Meanwhile, you can learn a trade in a few months to a year and make more money than someone coming out of college. Even moreso if you operate the business yourself.
You don't necessarily have to resort to learning a trade if it's not something you find interesting (I certainly don't). But accept that you're going to have to take a significantly longer road to your goals, with much, much greater efforts from now on.
Either obvious troll, bad bait, sad read. Or natural selection would of knocked OP off long ago if not for liberal assistance and medication. His safety net must be nice.
I don't mean to bring up trades as some last resort though. There is literally nothing wrong with learning a trade, and there seems to be a stigma in western society that there is. So a lot of people (especially younger folks) don't even consider it. :/
Dont dismiss college, but dont dismiss trade school either. Raise that gpa in adult classes, it will take a while, and they wont be easier, but its not impossible to rise up from that.
Keep informed though, because i see you, after highschool, and you dont know what gpa is, start learning, because im sure your teachers have mentioned it a lot.
