Who was better? Nirvana or korn?
Both influenced a lot of people.

I don't think they have enough in common regarding music, style and attitude to compare them. If you are just going for the quality of the 'craftsmanship', Korn was probably better - the music was a tad more complex and 'thought through'. Everything else is a matter of taste (and possibly of how much their particular vibe of 'voice to the young xyz' resonates with you).

Also: Don't overindulge yourself in korn, or you might end up in nirvana.

Nirvana is gone. The lead singer found a better way to live.
Both are iconic bands for different reasons and sound completely different so you can't really compare them.
That's like asking "What's better? Cheeseburgers or Levi jeans?".

First couple of Korn albums are really great especially the debut and i loved them alot growing up in the late 90's but after that they went downhill pretty fast. I did get in to heavier and more weirder music so i guess i just left Korn behind.

Nirvana are a great band and are kind of one of those bands people listen to when they're first getting interested in rock and metal and they are legendary and awesome but i don't listen to them much anymore.

Nirvana of course, back in the 90es this was the most awesome group, and the suicide of Cobain was a shock to the whole community.

Korn is still a great band though.

I always thought both were pretty cheesy. I like real rock a lot more than depressed grunge music

Eh, I liked them both to an extent but even Nirvana wasn't my favorite Grunge band back when they were popular, they're also two completely different genres. Korn also seems to have gone downhill lately after going the route of incorporating dubstep into their music.

Nirvana, but both suck.

I don't like dubstep anyway it's too obnoxious but dubstep with Jon Davis' angsty vocals over the top is a special kind of horrible,

Their music style does change quite a bit every few years.
