In all honesty there isn't many F2P singleplayer games. There's a few MMORPGs which you can play on your own but that's all I can think of.

Thank you guys, I've got him playing Shadow Warrior, installing TF2, and he's looking at Warframe. Gonna try to get my parents to buy him a game when they get home so I can friend him. :P
