I'm beginning to feel that the GI Joe movie is better than the Transformers movie

The Transformers movie begins with absolutely all the characters you cared about getting killed off to make way for characters you don't even know. This was done to make way for new toy sales. I do love the movie, but the more I get into the old show, the more I feel bad for how the characters' deaths were handled

GI Joe, however, begins with some epic battle on the Statue of Liberty, and throughout the entire film, nobody officially dies. And to make the toy sales, they have Seargant Slaughter, a particular fan favorite, training new recruits. They do become a focus, but the movie only "comas" one character to make one guy's character development
