Should i put tape over my cracked iPad screen?

Recently i cracked the corner of my iPad screen and pieces of glass are coming out to the point where i can clearly see the iPad itself.
Should i put tape over the cracked part? I don’t really wanna buy a screen protector to keep the glass in place.

Yeah it can work , I cracked my iPhone whole last year so I used tape .

unfortunately, screen protector is not meant to keep broken glass.

if you have extra money, screen repair/replacement may cost 200$+.
if it is an old ipad, just save and buy new ipad.
