Oh, indeed. But I'm a furry (among other things) and it's pretty bad wherever I end up.
It depends on the anti-fandom
Anti-furry is okay. But the anti-anime one is nuts. They go into any thread and spam, loli insults. Like for realz how EVE online had a major war and faction was divided by anime lovers and anime haters...

Unless you're being self-aware of this and you did this on purpose, ha-ha, you called yourself cringy.
The word itself is cringy too.
Anyway, I got a better question:
What fandom isn't cringeworthy?
My favorite group is e621, I've been a furry for the better part of 15 years now. Oh yes. I know what I'm doing.
And you'll probably live your life with awkward hard woods around animals, if your a guy.
Actually not hard to beat
Yeh, tell me about it. Furry is a collection of fetishes. With lot of artists trying to find the next big thing. I was watching hundreds or thousands of artists on fa, so I got exposed to nearly everything.
When I got out one thing being pushed on tons of people was very curvy, big boned girls with a large bust size, but with 1 guy bit below.
Which causes a kind of internal brain confusion (Because it matches the sighs your head looks for that its a very breedable female. But you also know its not). And can lead to an eventual acceptance of such a thing. Which can lead to finding dudes hawt. Like a slippery slope. Fetish, can lead to fetish, can lead to fetish.
Liek its hard to explain it, but fetishes can work like. Eventually your brain is bored of 1. Then you see something new that shocks it and before you know its a, new fetish. Such as say traps.
As a furry artist one fun thing to think about was "If I start out drawing this normal fetish. How many people can I get to like this next one that's close to it?" Then what after that? How messed up can I make my watchers? If I draw humans and make a comic around it, then once my viewers are emotionally attached to said character, how many can I turn furry if I make that character become part anthro?
