Why the hell are LEGOs so expensive!?!?!?
I never played with LEGOs as a kid and I think I know why... I watched a tested video on youtube of this realy cool LEGO Millennium Falcon so I decided to do some research on it and guess ♥♥♥♥♥♥ wut? no less than 3500 dollars for a new set.... lul why.... I realize that one is out of production or whatever but the same applys to just normal in-stock sets. Any normal large set is no less than 100-200 bucks. I mean it's just little pieces of plastic. How expensive could it possibly by to make that? Maybe the precision takes time? I don't know... All I know is, I would love to sit down for hours construct the spaceships from my childhood but... I don't have thousands of dollars to spend so I'll stick to LEGO Star Wars the game I guess lol

That number was the model of the set not the price

Weird replies.... but I know that, it's the amount of bricks.

yeah I was trying to delete certain parts and it turned out weird lol. How then is the bigger and more detailed version a lower number?

Make sure
is the last *word* before starting a new reply, that fixes it. I think you or I is confused on this, I was saying that the 75k version is only 25k short of being on *par* with the real edition.
Well according to this (the 3500 dollar collector's version and the biggest lego star wars model ever made according to the amazon description):

https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Ultimate-Collectors-Millennium-Falcon/dp/B000WLW3W0/ref=sr_1_4?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1517554469&sr=1-4&keywords=lego+millennium+falcon

it only contains 5195 pieces. The 75105 contains 1329

(wouldn't let me quote again for some reason)

God, I'm sorry, I'm just really dumb and didn't see it lol.

lol I wasn't trying to be the "prove everyone wrong ♥♥♥♥" I'm just extremely blown away at the price
Because LEGOs aren't just made of cheap plastic. They're mass produced in factories and good plastic costs money. Same reason speedcubes are so expensive. Lots of different parts. Look at the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lego Millenium Falcon. It's YUUUGE.

Although the LEGO company has been becoming less popular due to their high prices.

Yeah, because of reasons mentioned, they're over-priced for what they are, but their prices are justified with their demand. And no, I was just saying that I was wrong lol, been going on for nothing. If you want something to showcase, you could always 3D model something like the ship, make it good looking, and then 3D print it out and have a fully rendered picture of it above the model.

Legos are close to diamonds in the way they're sold.

It's honestly depressing because I would absolutely love to just waste a weekend with a friend and just build that thing. Don't have 3500 though lol

There was a scene in one of the new Spiderman movies where this dude drops a lego death star. They had to film that scene about 5 times
i feel bad for the guys who had to rebuild the death star
Licenses and high demand.
Try to find a copy of the instruction booklet online.

Check it out and see what pieces you need. Buy lego sets with those pieces.

Make your overpriced space ship.

Paint it after if you must.

Only problem is there's over 5000 pieces and a lot of them are specific to that set. Also I'm not that desperate. There's MUCH better things to do for MUCH less money.
Or you could wait, legos can't be around forever with 3d printing getting better and better right?
