Why are PC players so mean to console players?

I play both PC and console.

I don't see why there's this stupid controversy over "PC master race" and stuff. I don't understand why PC players are so mean to console players simply because they play a different platform. For one thing, good luck finding hackers and framerate lag on console.

Seriously, there's nothing wrong with being a "console pleb" if that's what you want to call it.

Neither PC or the PCMR are against/mean to console users.

Ignorance of the few console players makes PC gamers be mean to them (Example the playstation league attacks other platform users for using.... different platforms with idiotic or anti-consumer practices).

Some PC users are edgy 9 year olds who cannot connect what PC is in their tiny brain so they attack other platform users because of the same reasons above.

Just because pc players and quite a few console players agree that technically pc is the better option, some feel the need to rub it in the faces of those who prefer console/can't afford a decent pc.

consoles cant have a greater market , in WoW i have so many ability bars , you dont even have enough buttons for 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 or 26 A-Z keys ( and you dont have alt , ctrl or shift for key duplication either , and without many keys you can forget real MMORPGs or Mobas , now if PS5 and Xbox 4 have native Keyboard support it would be different of course

Have you also seen how dumbed down retail World of Warcraft is now? Most classes have had their skills completely halved from what they had originally from Vanilla to WOTLK. You can basically roll Warrior, select Arms then spam a single attack over and over, never using another attack until you reach max level.

I believe the issue lies within how it might affect the competitive community of their games. They likely wouldn't consider even implementing it into any FPS games as it would give a clear advantage. But for games like MMORPGs it may not have much of an effect, if the MMO in question is limited to a certain number of skills and attacks that can be pulled off at any given time. That and some target lock/aim assist if you're using controller.

I don't think we are 'mean' like you say we are. I think we show our feelings more when a 'console fanboy' is talking trash about PC gaming.You know the people that don't know what they are on about, stright up lie or twist facts to make consoles better.

i had a PC with a gt520 and except for very new games like the witcher 3 or just cause 3 ( which runs abysmally on consoles ) i could play everything , if the PC had a 2 GB GPU i would have been able to play everything , besides the PC was a 500€ prebuilt in 2011

You're missing the bigger picture in this situation. It's that most people want to play games like Battlefield 1 or Grand Theft Auto 5, or even games like Fallout 4. And to run these three games you'd need more of a High to mid range PC. to run these games in 60FPS you'd need a high range build. And if the PC is cheap as you'd say then it would have trouble running a single monitor, let alone duel or even triple monitor.

Oh and I've come back to correct you on free games as Playstation, Xbox and I think even Nintendo has free games on their markets. Some of which don't require an active subscription to play as long as they have a singleplayer option. Digital sales on consoles have also been in the up and up lately which has lead to a much bigger support in their digital markets, as they have weekly sales now and large sale events on their respectful marketplaces. I've bought Dead Rising 3 and Until Dawn both for less than 10 dollars, the last event they had on the Xbox Marketplace also saw games like Dark Souls 3 + all DLC going for 20 dollars.

Now for multitasking PC will always come out at the top compared to console, but Laptop has PC beat in the land of multitasking. I have never been on my PC all while in a McDonalds, writing, drinking coffee and studying for a test all at the same time.

The sad reality in all of this is that the majority of PC gamers actually have potato computers which can barely run any games other than Minecraft, Terraria, LoL and Team Fortress 2. They likely could barely even reach 60fps on the above mentioned games with their builds. But I do give them props for playing.
