I live with permanent tinnitus.
A ticking clock is nowhere close to muffled hearing, ear pain and loud ringing in your ears.
It doesn't really bother me because it's a consistent sound. I only hate it when sounds are inconsistent, like dripping water because it doesn't drip at regular intervals.
When i first had severe tinnitus and could not sleep at all, the fan was really helpful.
Still I'm glad I don't have one anymore.
Yes, i hope i will get used to it. It was a birthday gift with a sleep/night design on it, so i would feel bad not using it. :)
I usually don't put ticking clocks in my bedroom because it would make it harder to sleep since I already have insomnia.
