has a couple mecha/vehicular heroes, like tinker and gyrocopter.
Basically, Robocraft is becoming much closer to what it was originally, back in the good days of RC. You should try it out now and get a feel for it, that way when it's updated with tiers back in you'll already have a grasp of its' gameplay.
allso that Mecha assult for originall Xbox, had if i am not compleatly wrong big ass controller to stomp around with in the game if you are ready to invest few bucs for a old system.
Robocraft can be?
It's turn-based, but highly tactical. You have several dozen customizable mechs in it. No pay-to-win whatsoever.
edit: in multiplayer, turns can be set to have a time limit between 30 and 120 seconds, so no endless waiting.

If you have friends who would like to play similar games I say go for it. It has a lot of customization in that series even on the N64 ones.
